  3. John & Debbie Bryant says:

Doye was extremely special to our family when we were at South Union Baptist Church. She became the adoptive grandmother to our son Jonathan & later our daughter Joni. She was always willing to keep our children when we asked & they always had a good time at James & Doye’s house. She was a sweet generous lady & we will be forever grateful for her reaching out to us. We are praying for all the family during this difficult time. We love y’all. Pastor John & Debbie Bryant

  4. A sweet Christian lady! My love & prayers to the family.

  5. We were sorry to hear of Doye’s passing. We were unable to attend the services due to illness. (& covid) We remember Doye as being a dedicated member of South Union Baptist Church. She was a great Sunday School teacher and church worker-always in attendance. May the good memories bring peace and comfort to you. B.C. & Doris Fowler

  6. Doye and her husband, James, were beyond special to me. They invited me to wait in their home for the school bus every cold morning, since my house was so far off the road. I loved going there! Her daughters became my role models. They never made me feel like a little kid, which I was compared to them. I was also privileged to worship with the family and they were rocks in the church. Always kind, always faithful, always smiling. Always setting an excellent example. I love them so…

  7. A beautiful lady. Inside and out. Always loved her. So sorry for you loss.
