Dorothy Joan Holcomb DAINGERFIELD - Services for Dorothy Joan Holcomb, 83, of Daingerfieldwill be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Crisp, Dr. Tim Wade & Rev. Chad Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail- Haggard Funeral Home.Mrs. Holcomb was born September 1, 1927 in Burton-On-Trent, Stafford-shire, England to Herbert & Drusilla Bettison and went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2010. She has been a "Texan" for the past 62 years.One of her many highlights was when she became a U.S. citizen, being a very loving mom, grandmom, aunt & special friend to many.She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert & Drusilla Bettison; sister, Betty Forman; husband, Denman Holcomb.Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Christine & Ennice Williams ofDaingerfield, Janice & Jimmy Reid of Hughes Springs; son & daughter-in-law,Robert & Paula Wilkes of Princeton, TX; sister, Winnie Maclin of Jasper, TX; Shewill also be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.The family will receive friends 6 pm til 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cypress Basin Hospice, 207Morgan, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hospice nurses,Chaplin, and aid that made mom's last few months as comfortable as possible. She is rejoicing in her Heavenly home now and reunited with loved ones that are already there waiting on her. What a reunion she is experiencing!
