  1. “Fish are bitting” Everyone that knew Dennis very long has a fishing story with him in it. It is something that was irresistible since he was a little boy. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his life outside. That’s where he felt God’s presence the most and was in awe of God’s creatures from crawdads to trophy bass and huge bucks. If you wanted to spend time with him , you had to like or at least be willing going fishing with him. Dennis had many good friends. To have good friends you have to be a good friend. What he gave as a friend was time. If you wanted to talk, listen or just sit and fish he never said latter, next time,or not now. He loved to tell stories at deer camp or around a camp fire. As his story comes to and end he had a very tough last year which gave him the opportunity to get his business right with God. He became at Peace with himself and God. I believe Tuesday morning God sent a messenger to Dennis. He message was Come Home “fish are bitting”.

  4. Dennis was a very special person whom I got to know and see quite often as he came into the Daingerfield Vet Hospital with his dog Chloe for many years. He came to see me often after my time at the vet office with Chloe too; they literally went everywhere together. May He forever rest in peace. Prayers for his family for comfort during this time. 🙏 🐾
