Graveside service for Cynthia Jean Parsons 60 of Gilmer will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Friendship Cemetery in Hughes Springs. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Cynthia was born April 1, 1960 to Edward and Alma Joyce Barnes. She died on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.Cynthia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Fourth Ward in Gilmer and she was a former accountant for Marriott. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William Dearl Barnes, Edward Barnes, Jr., Tommy Barnes and a sister Mollie Ann Garza.Survived by her husband Steven Parsons of Gilmer; son T. J. Parsons and wife Sarah of Vidor and daughter Stephanie Kilpatrick and husband Matt of Gilmer; grandchildren Kaleb Kilpatrick, Caegon Kilpatrick, Xavier Kilpatrick, Cael Kilpatrick, Coryn Kilpatrick and Kaleigh Kilpatrick all of Gilmer and Edward Parsons of Vidor; sisters Tennille Duke and husband David of Lone Star and April Nichols of Maine.
