Born in: Daingerfield, TX
Resided in: Daingerfield, Texas

Cynthia β€œCindy” Lynn Norsworthy was a spirited, loving, and deeply cherished member of her community. Born on January 15, 1958, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, she passed away at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy. Cindy made her home in Daingerfield, Texas, where she lived for 47 years and touched countless lives.

On April 14, 1978, she married the love of her life, Ronnie C. Norsworthy, in Texarkana, Texas. Together, they built a lifetime of treasured memories and shared happiness. Professionally, Cindy served as a Senior Account Manager at Higginbotham Insurance in Mount Pleasant for 24 years, bringing the same passion, commitment, and compassion to her work that she carried into every corner of her life.

Cindy’s heart was deeply rooted in her community. A devoted member of the Church of Christ in Daingerfield, her faith was the foundation of her character. She actively participated in church life and was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support for those around her.

She found joy in nature and in the simple pleasures of life- if she wasn’t outside working in the yard she was spending time at the ballpark, thrifting, fishing, swimming at Daingerfield State Park.

Above all else, Cindy was a proud matriarch. Her greatest joys were the births of her children and grandchildren, and she embraced her role as β€œNona” with boundless love. Whether taking her grandchildren to the movies or spending precious time together baking at home, she created memories that will be treasured forever. She had a heart that welcomed every child that crossed her path. If you were in her presence, you were hers.

Cindy leaves behind a loving and extensive family, including her husband Ronnie C. Norsworthy, son Ronnie L. Norsworthy and his wife Leslie, Ryan Norsworthy and his wife Khristin; stepson Roger Norsworthy and his wife Jodi; stepdaughter Laurie Martin; stepdaughter Christie Fyock Martinez and her husband, Peter; grandchildren Ashlyn, Austin, Aubrie, Cameron, Dylan, Sara, Ashlee, Damon, Tyler, Holly, J Wesley, and Donavon. She is also survived by her mother, Doris Nesbitt; siblings, Angelia Glover and husband Terry, Kenny Nesbitt and wife Donna, Keith Nesbitt, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also remembered fondly by many other extended family members and a host of dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents William Otis and Mary Verna Nesbitt, Rufus and Sybil Jessie McFerrin; her father, Kenneth Nesbitt; and her aunt and uncle, Veleta McFerrin and Alfred β€œBubba” McFerrin.

Cindy Norsworthy’s life was defined by love, devotion, and an embrace of life’s sweetest moments. She will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. DeLesi with Titus Family Care Center, Dr. O’Shaughnessy with Baylor University, the staff at Titus Regional Medical Center and Choice Hospice for their loving care.

Psalm 23:6

β€œSurely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

A Celebration of Cindy’s beautiful life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs officiating. Honoring her requests, services have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
