March 17, 1932 ~ August 1, 2023
A Celebration of the Life of Crawford "Glen" Kersey, 91, of Daingerfield will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Church on the Rock in Daingerfield with Pastor Randy Seybert officiating. A private family committal service will follow in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery in Hughes Springs. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Friday, August 4, 2023 at the funeral home. Glen was born on March 17th, 1932 in Daingerfield to Earnest and Lois Kersey. He peacefully passed away on August 1st, 2023, in a Pittsburg nursing facility. He proudly served his country with the US ARMY. Glen enjoyed many things throughout his life. He loved to camp, fish, hunt and do pretty much anything outdoors. Glen had a great appreciation for American cars. He worked on and restored many Corvettes and Model A's. He was known to square dance and was a member of the Rocky Branch VFW where he served on the Color Guard in local events and parades. In his later years he ran cattle and worked the land here in Morris County cutting and baling hay at 80 years of age. He was a Brakeman and Train Engineer for T&N Railroad for over 30 years. More than anything, he loved his Lord. Glen was instrumental in the building of Church on the Rock in Daingerfield where he was a faithful member and father figure to many who attended. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Mr. Kersey was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby C. Kersey. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 70 years, Frances Kersey of Daingerfield; daughter, Deborah Stewart of Rockwall; son, Jerry Kersey and Rubi of Sanger; grandchildren, Eric Stewart and Nena of Dallas, Tierney Rezak and Kansas of Austin, Travis Kersey and Kelsey of Londale; great granddaughter, Audrey Harkins of Lindale and brother-in-law, Ron Wiseman and wife Patty of Woodlawn.

My prayers are with Frances and the family. I grew up with the Kersey family and remember Glen fondly. I am praying for you all, Lisa Coe
Glen, I worked together for 15 years at T&N Railway. He was a dear friend and I think of him often. RIP my dear friend!

Debbie and Jerry, your dad will be remembered by friends and family as a kind soul, always ready to help. For me, my double cousin, will be remembered as the “cool” teenager who drove a Chevy with an Uga, Uga horn and married your mom in his Army Uniform. They were so handsome and beautiful. I truly admire your mom and dad for raising an awesome family and loving each other. May God wrap you and your families in His arms of Grace and Comfort. Love you.
