I never dreamed I would be writing a tribute about a new-found friend. We both resided at Arabella Assisted Living until Charlene’s passing. In the short time I knew Charlene I perceived there was something special about this beautiful lady. Charlene radiated a persona who loved the Lord and her personality reflected this. It did not take long for her to learn the residents’ name and her warmth gladdened many hearts. I noticed Charlene loved to give gifts especially to a new resident or someone ill. She truly reflected “Love Thy Neighbor”. There will be a void of her presence, but being saddened you can rejoice that she has claimed her inheritance in Heaven.
Charlene was instrumental in leading Rick and me to Central Baptist Church. She walked up to hug and greet us our very first visit. She surely had the Lord’s light of love in her eyes.

I loved this woman so much! I just don’t have enough words to say how much she meant to me. She was so good and kind and loving! Always encouraging me and praying for me and for the women of WOM at Central. Loved her church and loved her family. And loved all those cards she wrote to encourage my heart. She is home with her Savior! God bless and keep Mr. Kenneth and her family!
