May the Lord comfort you during this time. We have many fond memories of Elaine while we were in the ministry at Lone Star Baptist Church. I visited with Elaine last semester in the foyer of the library at NTCC. She was taking chemo at that time. Even though she was sick, she still found peace in her circumstances through her relationship with the Lord. God bless you all.
Words can’t express my feelings for the lost of my classmate and friend Elaine. My heart goes out to her husband and children. She was the most lovely person in our class and she will dearly be missed. Stay strong family and friends because God don’t make no mistakes, but it’s to us that are among the living to make sure that we get ready for our calling. Elaine is at peace right now and her legacy will live on throught her friends and family.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Thoughts & prayers are with you.Charlie
My deepest sympathies and condolences are extended to the entire Sledge clan, especially Ricky Sledge, Sr. and Meagan. May God’s comforting arms of grace wrap you tightly with peace, understanding and strength. Know that Elaine is seated at the feet of God and watching over you and suffers no more. Your journey without Elaine will be hard, but one day the family will be reunited in heaven. Time will ease the pain of your loss. Yet she will always be in your heart. She will be in the rustling sound of tree leaves, the smells of Thanksgiving cooking and the touch of love on your shoulder. God bless.
