Bryan Jeffery Bassett

Jeffery Bryan Bassett, 52, of Venus, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 in Ft. Worth. He was born on March 18, 1958 in Marshall, Texas to Jack Hollis and Reba J. Watson Bassett.Bryan graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1975. He was employed with Gerdau Ameristeel in Midlothian since 1998 as the Building and Grounds Coordinator. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Lawrence, and enjoyed teaching him to fish.He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tori Bassett; his daughter, Britnie Bassett Jones of Venus; his mother, Reba Bassett of Daingerfield; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Susie Bassett of Avinger; his grandson, Lawrence Jones; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Bassett.Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., Wedneday, July 7, 2010, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie, Texas.Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Daingerfield, Texas. Interment will follow at the Daingerfield Cemetery.
