Celebrating the life of Bonnie Lou Mims, a cherished member of the Daingerfield, Texas community, who was born on July 10, 1939, in DeKalb, Texas. Bonnie passed away leaving behind a legacy marked by devotion, both to her career and her personal passions.

Bonnie dedicated over 35 years of her life working as a bookkeeper for Star Drug. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she owned and operated Four Seasons Produce and Nursery from 1993 until 2010. Her work ethic and commitment to her business were admired by all who knew her.

A devoted member of the First Pentecostal Church of Daingerfield, Bonnie found joy in playing piano and singing, activities that enhanced many church gatherings. Beyond her musical contributions to her church, she was deeply involved in the nursing home ministry, demonstrating her compassionate spirit and dedication to the community. Bonnie relished the time spent in her garden and took great pleasure in feeding birds and watching them from her table, activities that reflected her love for nature and the simple joys in life.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Kristi Ramage, and her son, Darren Rawls and his wife Diann, all of Daingerfield. Her love and lessons continue to live on through her grandchildren, Jason Rawls of New Diana, Tony Ramage, Cole Ramage, Derik Rawls, Dustin Rawls, and Delaney Rawls, all of Daingerfield, along with three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Travis Proctor of DeKalb, and numerous nieces and nephews, who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Ida Proctor; her son, Tony Rawls; her brothers, Noel and Bobby Proctor; and her great granddaughter, Jadyn Rawls.

Bonnie Lou Mims will be remembered fondly for her unwavering kindness, uplifting spirit, and the indelible mark she left on her community. Her memory will undoubtedly endure through the many lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the First Pentecostal Church of Daingerfield with Pastor Preston Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Horn Family Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the funeral home.
