Billy Joe ByrdDaingerfield-Funeral services for Billy Joe Byrd, of Daingerfield will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Daingerfield with Dr. Tim Wade officiating. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Billy was born August 1, 1928 in Daingerfield and entered into rest on October 11, 2011 in Roseville, Ca...Bill worked as a wind tunnel engineer for more than 30 years at Vought Corp. in Grand Prairie. During the past 20 years he has resided in Lake Fork, Daingerfield and Roseville, Ca.. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, helping others whenever possible, and traveling around the country on planes, trains and automobiles. He spent many hours fishing for bass on the lake, working on his rent houses, doing projects around the house, and making the occasional trips to New Orleans and Shreveport.He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sister-in-law, Mary Ann and Darrel McRorie of Roseville, Ca.; son, Barry and Vicki Byrd of Tuscola, Tx.; daughter, Sara and Don Williams of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, Ryan and Collin (Nichole) Byrd, Grace, Travis and Jake Williams. He also leaves behind Aunt Evelyn Darnell, nieces, Pam (Larry) Richardson, Megan (Travis) Braden, nephews, Mike (Jackie) Byrd, Ricky (Patti) Byrd, Steve (Becky) Byrd, Tim (Monica) Cole, and 16 great nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M.   5. I worked with Bill at Convair/Daingerfield and his 30 years at Vought. We also fished Lone Star Lake many times. Sorry I couldn’t make his funeral. He will be missed. Jack
