Betty Jo Haynes went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2023 at the age of 93. Betty was born in Sulphur Township, AR on January 9, 1930. Married to Orville “PeeWee” Haynes in Bright Star, AR on July 20, 1951 and predeceased by her loving husband on October 17, 1998. Left to cherish her memory are her children - Wayne Haynes, Susie Gregory, James Haynes, their spouses and daughter-in-law, Jana Haynes - five grandchildren – Kyle Gregory, Keelia Curtis, Jason Haynes, Dace Haynes and Jamee Haynes – and seven great grandchildren. Betty was a long-time member of First Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU. She also was a member of Pandora Study Club which was a highlight of each month as an opportunity for fellowship and service. Betty was also an avid Texas Rangers fan and watched them whenever possible. The service of remembrance will be at First Baptist Church, Daingerfield at 1:00pm on Friday, December 8, 2023. Interment to follow at Daingerfield Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the funeral home. Flowers gratefully declined.
