Annie Lucille MartinDaingerfield- Services for Annie Lucille Martin 83 of Daingerfield, formally of Mesquite will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery.Annie was born on July 30, 1933 in Daingerfield to James Edgar and Emma Fay Martin, she died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Daingerfield.She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Goodbar Recreation Center in Mesquite and was a retired supervisor for Continental Insurance Company in Mesquite where she worked from 1952 till 1990. Annie received volunteer of the year award in 2005 and 2011, was awarded The Presidents Volunteer Service Award in 2014 by the Mayor of Mesquite and was a resident of Christian Care Senior Living Community also in Mesquite.Survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Bea and LaRue Marley of Hughes Springs, Ruby and Ray Walker of Daingerfield and Lila Beaver of Arlington; brothers and sisters-in-law Curtis and Betsy Martin of Mt. Pleasant and Clifton and Martha Martin of Daingerfield; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.Family will receive friends from 1 till service time.

I knew Ann from Goodbar Senior Center. She was one of the sweetest ladies I ever knew. We all loved her and will miss her greatly. I am sorry I cannot come to her service. It is just too far a drive for me as possibly we would be unable to get home before dark. We will keep your family in our prayers.
