May 15, 1967 ~ June 25, 2025

Nan Welch Logan, a lifelong resident of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away surrounded by love and family. Nan was a proud graduate of the Daingerfield High School Class of 1985. She built a career in the insurance industry, spending the last 24 years with Bockmon Insurance. Before that, she worked side by side with her mother at Brabham Insurance for 10 years — a time she cherished dearly. Nan was a devoted mother to her son, Tyler Logan, and found pure joy in being “Nanny” to her granddaughter, Tatum Logan, lovingly known as Nanny’s Angel. Her beloved dog Scarlet was never far from her side. Nan had a passion for traveling with family and friends, making memories along the way. She loved spending time with her cousins, sharing laughs and stories, and never turned down the chance to enjoy good food with great friends. One of the true highlights of her life was meeting Kevin Costner at a concert — a moment she spoke of often and fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Shirley Welch; and brother, Scott Welch Nan leaves behind her son, Tyler Logan, and his wife, Harley; her precious granddaughter, Tatum Logan; her nieces, Hannah and Baylee Welch; and numerous cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Nan’s honor. A visitation to celebrate Nan’s life will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home, who is entrusted with her cremation arrangements. Nan’s warmth, humor, and love will be missed by all who knew her.

  3. Will always remember Nan with a big smile on her face. In school if you saw her you could bet Deanna Pittman wasn’t too far behind. My prayers to her family and Deanna. I know they truly loved each other. Will miss seeing her post on Facebook. I have moved from Texas so I have not seen anyone for many years but glad we could stay in touch through social media. You are loved and will be missed by so many.
