Maryah Peters

Maryah Peters, 21, of Daingerfield was born on September 15, 2003 in Mount Pleasant. She passed from this life on Friday, October 25, 2024 in Daingerfield. A life-long Daingerfield resident, Maryah attended schools in Daingerfield where she was actively involved in track and cheerleading. She was as brilliant as she was beautiful and was a proud member of the National Honor Society. After graduating from DHS, in 2021, one year early, she attended Stephen F. Austin University for one year. Having a deep love for cosmetology, she attended lash tech school. An introvert by nature, Maryah's love for others was evident in her daily life. She had a special love for all animals, especially dogs. Maryah was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nanny Vicky Harris; grandfather, Charles Peter Evans; grandmother, Linda Peters and Melvin Bates. Those left to cherish the many beautiful memories of Maryah include her mom and dad, Holly and Charles Evans; sisters, Arryanna Evans, Charleigh Evans; brother, Kavon Bolden; father, Marlon Peters; brother, Keyontai Peters; grandfather, Jerry Peters; paw, Allen Baxter; grandmother, Elaine Evans; aunt, Heather Baxter; cousins, Lauren Evans, Keyshawn Baxter, JaKayden Baxter, Kingston Baxter, Kynzleigh Barton; nephew, Kyrin Peters; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Daingerfield High School Auditorium. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family and Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Charles Evans, Allen Baxter, KeyShawn Baxter, JaKayden Baxter, Kavon Bolden, Marlon Peters, Markethien Cleaveland, Dimitri Meech Lewis and Keyontai Peters. Honorary pallbearers include Kamron Younger, Kingston Baxter, Ameron Bruce, Marcus Evans and Tony King. Ms. Peters will lie in state from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2024 at the funeral home, 400 Webb St., Daingerfield, Texas.
