Tomàs Rafael Muñoz, 48, of Daingerfield, formerly of Denton, Tx, passed away at his home in the early morning of August 10, 2024. He was born in Catarina, Nicaragua, on October 13, 1975, and moved to Texas at the age of 6 months. He Graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Tyler, Texas, and attended Tyler Junior College and the University of North Texas. He is survived by his parents, Jorge and Wanda Muñoz of Daingerfield, one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Kelly Muñoz, one nephew and one niece all of Aubrey, Texas, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his giving nature, and his culinary skills. He loved all things 90’s and the Dallas Cowboys. A small family memorial service will be planned for a future date. Services have been entrusted to Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Texas Baptist Home for Children in Waxahachie, Texas.

    Tomas was a Brother from the day we met @ Hogg Middle School. You & the fam took me in and always looked out for me. We experienced so many things together over the years. A ton of fun, trouble & special times – some of which are just between us.
    I know that you will be watching over us as you take the next steps in this mysterious journey…I look forward to seeing U Again.

    When Tomas loved, he loved BIG. If you were fortunate enough to spend time with him, he made you feel like the most important person in the world. His heart was immense, and he never hesitated to help others, show kindness, or give an over the top compliment. We were all lucky to know and love him!

  3. I worked with Tomas at Bodacious BBQ during highschool. He was a great friend who often showed his kindness. He worked hard and came to and left from work happy which rubbed off on me.

    I’ll miss Tom, he helped me in my time of grief after losing my husband. I’d hear from him every few days asking me how I’m doing and I needed to keep my chin up. He was a great friend and we exchanged bbq recipes a few times. Rest in peace buddy. Theresa
