September 17, 1945 ~ July 28, 2024

Tony Mack Hall was born to Eugene and Elsie Hall, Jr. on September 17, 1945, in Gilmer, Texas and passed on to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Aleta Hall, daughter Kera and husband Tommy “Scooter” Stewart, daughter Marnie and husband Rusty Justiss, and five beloved grandchildren: Calli Stewart, Briley Stewart, Natalie Justiss, Denman Mack Justiss and Brogan Stewart. Tony graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1964 and lived his entire life as a “Tiger” fan. Tony graduated from East Texas State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He began his career at CA Hackett in Lone Star, and later worked for the SWEPCO (AEP) Welsh power plant for 35 years, retiring as the Coal Yard Supervisor. Tony was a lifelong, faithful servant of the Daingerfield First Methodist Church, serving as the Lay-Leader, working on numerous committees, and building the NTCC Wesley Foundation. Tony’s expression of faith could be seen in his smile, support, encouragement, and his unconditional love of others. One of Tony’s greatest joys was serving as a Daingerfield volunteer firefighter for 33 years and Fire Chief for 10 years. His investment in the Daingerfield area community earned him the Daingerfield “Citizen of the Year” award in 2013. Tony was a helper - a loyal and faithful friend with a heart of gold. Perhaps Tony will be most remembered for his selfless devotion and love for his family. In his later years, he could often be found with one or more of his grandchildren and a box of oatmeal cream pies. Of all Tony’s many accomplishments in life, he was proudest of his family. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Karen Betts, and his brother, Eugene Hall, III. A visitation to honor his life will be held on Monday, July 29th from 6:00-8:00 at Horn-Nail Haggard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Dale Jamerson, Marcie McGill and David Brotherton at 10:00 am at the First Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Methodist Church of Daingerfield – Ordinary Men or the Daingerfield Volunteer Fire Department in honor of Tony Hall.
