It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Lee Dell "Pluck" Johnson, 86, of Pittsburg. Lee Dell “Pluck” Johnson was born in Pittsburg, Texas on January 7, 1938 to James and Werder Johnson. He passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024 Lee Dell was a life long Pittsburg-Hickory Hill Community resident. He was an extremely skilled concrete construction worker, an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and a champion domino player. His passion was the great outdoors and his dedication to the sport of hunting and fishing made him unparalleled with his sharp eye, patience, respect for nature along with his comedic charm to tell his hunting and fishing stories placed him in a league of his own. He leaves behind to cherish his memories three children Werder (late James) Williams, David (Carlin) Johnson, Jackie (Patrick) Farris; nine grandchildren Brandice Williams, Candice (Toborrance) Williams, Keisha (Miguel) Repress, Dempsey M. (Renika) Lloyd 1st Sgt USMC-Ret., Jamien (Crystal) Johnson, Mildred Lloyd, Jonathan Farris, Clayton Farris, Iyana Farris, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. He also leaves special family and friends sisters Mattie Roberts and Verdie “Toot” Jackson, nephew Ray Charles (Vicky)Johnson, Nikita Fridia, Milton “BoBo” Cummings, Morris Peoples, Michael Bennett, Charles Snoddy, Jimmy “Buckle” Lawton and a host of loving relatives and friends. Please join our family in extending most sincere condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family Funeral Home in Daingerfield.
