David Wayne O'Neal

David Wayne O'Neal, Jr., 49, of Daingerfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was born on April 22, 1974 in Longview to David Wayne O'Neal, Sr. and Lyndyl Carwile O'Neal. He was known to most people as "Nodie". He never met a stranger and could talk for hours about everything. David was a graduate of Hughes Springs High School. He was proud to be a Mustang and he often reminisced about his football days. As a recovered addict, David often preached and counseled those struggling with drug addiction. He was extremely proud of his family. David was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Phillip "Bo" O'Neal and all of his grandparents, JL and Rhena Carwile and TJ and Ann O'Neal. He is survived by his sons, Dyllan Wayne O'Neal and wife Brooke of Ft. Worth, James Aaron O'Neal and wife Kara of Daingerfield, Jayce Pritchard of Marshall; bonus daughter, Erykah Munden of Jefferson; granddaughter, Rubyann "Nugget" Pribble; his father; sister, Jana O'Neal of Hughes Springs; nephews, Bryce, Wayne, Ricky, Brandon; nieces, Renee' and Amy and several great nieces and great nephews; as well his brother, from another mother, Jerry Munden. David had a special bond with his fur baby, "Lil Gurl". A Celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Spring Park in Hughes Springs. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
