June 10, 1954 ~ November 9, 2023

Robert "Bob" Daniel McGoldrick On November 9, 2023, Robert "Bob* Daniel McGoldrick met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ face to face, while resting peacefully in his room at Haven Care Nursing Home. Bob was born June 10, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA to William "Bill* Robert McGoldrick and Lillian Lucille Childress. At the young age of eleven, Bob moved to Florida with his father and brother, Paul. For the next several years he lived in Tampa and attended Hillsborough County public schools. Bob was a proud member of the Hillsborough High School Army JROTC Battalion Drill Team. He was a member of the Hillsborough High graduating Class of 1972. Bob was involved in Tampa Youth Ranch Bible Studies run by Dr. Hank Lindstrom, where he met Jesus and made many friends for life. Bob graduated from Florida Bible College, Hollywood, FL in 1978 and started his life of ministry through loving serving and mentoring young people at several different Christian schools, churches, and public schools including: Community Christian School, Gibsonton, FL; First Baptist Church of Port Tampa, Tampa, FL; Florida Bible Christian School, Pembroke Pines, FL; Grace Christian School, Valrico, Florida; Troup ISD, Troup, TX; Scurry-Rosser ISD, Scurry, TX; Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, Daingerfield, TX; Hughes Springs ISD, Hughes Springs, TX; and Pittsburg ISD, Pittsburg, TX. In his 45 years of ministry he was a youth pastor, associate pastor, teacher, coach, substitute teacher, and teacher's aide. Bob was an ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Convention. He served as the Sunday School Director at First Baptist Church of Daingerfield, a member of the Northeast Texas AWANA Ministry Team, and sang in the choir at First Baptist Church of Pittsburg. One of his most cherished accomplishments was graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters in Biblical Studies in 2005. In 1989, when Bob started teaching and coaching at Florida Bible Christian School he met the love of his life, Jana Kay Hasley McGoldrick. They met in August of that school year, were engaged in March, and married on July 14, 1990- less than one year after they met. For the next 33 ½ years, Bob and Jana were inseparable, using their gifts and talents to serve their Lord and Savior in both Florida and Texas. Although Bob and Jana were never blessed with biological children, they have 1000's of children" all over the world. Whether it was making young people feel like they were loved, wanted, or important - Bob never hesitated to share the love of his Savior with anyone he met. Due to his rough childhood Bob sought out those outcasts" and went out of his way to make them feel loved and special. It was not unusual for one of his former youth to call him asking for advice or just to chat about the good 'ole days. Bob McGoldrick, aka Bubba or Mr. Bob as he was often called, had twinkling brown eyes and a contagious smile that lit up the room. He treated those he loved, especially his wife, with honor and respect. He truly believed that there were no coincidental meetings in life, only opportunities for sharing his faith. Special thanks to all the workers at Haven Care Nursing Home for the love and care that was shown to Bob over the last two years and the nurses at Marshall Hospice for taking such good care of him in his last days. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My best memories of Mr. McGoldrick is him teaching us about God in Bible study on Wednesday and Friday nights. And taking us to wrestling matches in the 80’s! He was the best Teacher, youth pastor, friend and second father I could ever ask for. He performed my wedding ceremony and God blessed me by bringing him into my life. Love and condolences from The Hardin and Stevens family.

  2. Was such a kind teacher and friend he really loves the Lord and wanted to do the right thing…I’m glad to have found him again on Facebook awhile back and to be able to connect again before now…truly a very blessed man and those that were able to meet him and get to know him were blessed as well….he will be missed dearly by everyone ❤️❤️💯💯
