Philip Gary Weber of Daingerfield, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday morning, November 6, 2023, in Daingerfield. Gary, as he was known to all, was born November 29, 1939, to Philip Lawrence Weber and Maud Curtis Winingham Weber in Elk City, OK. Gary attended Public Schools in Cordell, OK. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. While at OSU he met Jacque, the love of his life. They were married on September 1, 1961, in Ponca City OK. Jacque and Gary had two sons, Stephen Todd Weber and Rodney Dale Weber. Gary and Jacque traveled the world during his career in the Mining Industry. Among the places they lived and worked were, Kirtland, NM, Papua, New Guinea and Newman, Western Australia. Following retirement, Gary and Jacque retired to Lone Star Lake in Daingerfield, Texas. They also have a home, in the Rocky Mountain near Durango, CO, which was their summer home. They enjoyed RVing and spending time with family and friends. Their Grandson, Casey, was born March 15, 1977 and was the apple of their eye. They were recently able to attend Casey’s Graduation from Law School at Chapman University, Orange, CA. Gary was a beloved and longtime member and leader of Jenkins Methodist Church in Daingerfield. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Daingerfield Lions Club. Gary was an avid Model A collector and enthusiast and a very active 4H leader. In New Mexico he was well known for his leadership in the San Juan County Fair. He served as President of the San Juan County Fair Board for 6 years. Gary and Jacque resided in Kirtland NM for 25 years. He and Jacque were very active in their Church and Community. Gary will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Jacque Weber of Daingerfield, two sons, Stephen Weber of Austin, TX and Rodney Weber of Apple Valley, CA., grandson, Casey Weber of Apple Valley, CA., and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be under the direction of Horn Nail Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, TX. Services and Visitation will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Jenkins Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. followed immediately by services at 2:30. Pastor Ray Prince will officiate the service. Burial will be in Retrop, OK on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
