Graveside services for Kelly Wilson, 63, of Longview, formerly of Hughes Springs will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Hughes Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM prior to the service. Mr. Wilson was born on October 30, 1959 in Daingerfield to Billy Wayne and Euna Faye Wilson. He passed away Saturday afternoon, September 30, 2023 in a Tyler Hospital. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Kelly was raised in Hughes Springs and was a 1978 graduate of Hughes Springs High School. While in High School, he played football and was involved in several activities. He was retired after serving many years working for the Texas State Department of Corrections. Anyone that knew Kelly, knew he was always there for people that needed him. He loved his sons and family beyond measure. He enjoyed fishing, World History and anything to do with ships, planes or guns. He was a Texan through and through. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen Elliott. He is survived by his sons, Rick Wilson and Katie of Hughes Springs, Derek Wilson and Brittney of Haughton, LA, Travis Wilson of Longview, Alex Wilson of Abilene; grandchildren, Haylee Wilson, Jerec Wilson, Euynn Wilson all of Hughes Springs, Livie Wilson, Eli Wilson both of Henderson; brother, Kerry Wilson and Donna of Carrolton; girlfriend, Gayle Farhat of Yantis; special furry companion, "Dixie" as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
