I knew Danny for most of my 13 years here in Daingerfield. A fine neighbor, friend, fireman, and fellow Ham Radio operator, he had a big heart and truly cared about others. Those last 10 words would be his legacy.
He was active in Ham radio not just as an operator on the Daingerfield repeater, but was instrumental in Amateur Radio Emergency Services for Morris and Cass counties, plus Freedom Link SKYWARN weather network for the ArkLaTex.
Many called Danny “the luckiest person alive” as he went on a winning streak, winning raffles, door prizes, even the lottery. He beat the odds of Pancreatic cancer, too. And now he truly is the luckiest of all of us, sitting at the feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will miss you around here Danny, until we join you up there!

Always enjoyed seeing Danny at the Ham radio meetings and area Hamfest. He enjoyed entering the room and saying, You boys can put your money back in your pocket cause I’m going to win the grand prize. A lot of the time he did. Danny has moved on to aa higher frequency. 73s Danny
