Elizabeth Diane (Beth) Coulter Lanagan January 31, 1955 – July 12, 2023 Elizabeth Diane (Beth) Coulter was born on January 31, 1955, in Hot Springs, AR, to Charline Dodson Coulter and Richard Murphy (Dick) Coulter, Jr. Beth passed away on July 12, 2023, at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Murphy Coulter III. Beth is survived by her loving husband, Matthew; a niece, Caraline Coulter; many loving cousins and in-laws; and a precious circle of dear friends. Beth’s services have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, TX. Her Celebration of Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Daingerfield, TX at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22nd, with a reception following. Another is being planned in her honor in Little Rock, later this summer. Beth grew up in Daingerfield, TX, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1973, where she was a twirler in the marching band. Beth attended Tyler Junior College. She graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX in 1977. Beth was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Beth was also a member of the DAR- Daughters of the American Revolution. Beth married her high school sweetheart, Matthew, while on a cruise in the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico, on May 5, 2002. Beth and Matthew were always best friends. They loved each other for over 50 years. We are so thankful they ended up together.

  7. Beth was always so nice to me…she convinced me to attend our 50th class reunion, and I was looking so forward to seeing her. My prayers are with Matthew and the rest of her family.

  11. Beth also greatly loved her grandniece Amelia. Beth made beautiful arts and crafts for little Amelia which still grace the walls of her bedroom. I’m surprised Amelia wasn’t mentioned in the obituary because she was so important to poor Beth.
