Nancy DeWeese grew up in Big Sandy. This is where she met Cliff Wright, her future husband. They were married for 66 years and lived in Daingerfield and were long-time members of the Daingerfield Church of Christ. After Cliff retired from Lone Star Steel, they moved to Longview and joined the Longview Church of Christ. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Cliff in June of 2012.Nancy passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. She will always be remembered as a feisty lady and a wonderful mother and wife who loved to cook, sew, garden, shop, and travel. AND she was an avid Texas A&M Aggie fan. She never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune so we knew not to call her at 6:30 in the evening. Those surviving include her children--Kaye Hill and husband Lynn of El Lago, Janis Smith of Keller, and Randy Wright and wife Lori of Daingerfield; Five grandchildren: Jef Smith of Keller, Jennifer Hill Rochat and husband Troy of McKinney, Jill Smith Myers and husband Dean of Keller, Jared Wright and wife Cassandra of Monrovia, CA, and Jordan Richardson and husband Matt of Mansfield; great-grandchildren Christopher Ray, Evan Myers, and Delanee Myers, all of Keller.

Ms Nancy was so special to me and I loved her like another mother! She and I shared many great lunches together and conversations! I was heartbroken when I got the news but will remember the love we shared for each other and that she is now reunited with the love of her life! Condolences to the family!
