A celebration of the life of Todd M. York, 61, of Daingerfield will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the First Pentecostal Church of Daingerfield with the Reverend Preston Proctor and Pastor Shane Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM prior to the celebration. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Todd McDonald York was born on July 23, 1961 and died January 1, 2023. He was 61. He passed away at Titus Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He resided in Rocky Branch, Texas. Todd is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lisa York; a son, Cody Davis and wife Drena from Bullard, Texas; a daughter, Tiffany Whitaker, from Daingerfield; and a son, Zachary York from Daingerfield and fiancée Katelyn Keene from Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather – Sue and Chuck Moore of Rocky Branch; brother, Monte York from Cason and sister Dawn and Deril Livingston of Union Grove, Texas. Todd had 3 grandchildren; Aubrey, 9, Kaleb, 8, and Paisley, 7. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ava Kinsley Paige Whitaker in 2011; nephew Nicholas York from Florida and by his grandmother, Ms. Ernesteen Keener of Lambert, Arkansas and grandfather, Bill Marshall of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Todd had worked in the water utilities sector for most of his 39-year professional career and had been employed with Northeast Texas Municipal Water District as a water treatment operator since 2011. Todd held an “A” license with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and had been presented several awards and special recognitions by his peers for his contributions to the field and for his belief in training and professional development. Todd had been a member of First Pentecostal Church of Daingerfield since 1988.

  2. Todd and I have been in and out of each other’s lives since the late 70’s. We went to church together, worked together, had an apartment together (with Bubba Flores) and came close to driving head on into an 18-wheeler when I fell asleep driving. Todd, you will be missed. Tell Bubba I said, “Hey”.

  8. Todd and his family helped me with my 2 boys Robert and Daniel I worked full time we went to church together. They meant a lot to our family and lots of times they made a big difference to our lives. I thank the Lord we had this wonderful family in our lives.
