Surrounded by his children and so much love, James E. Stevens 66, of Avinger, Tx passed away peacefully in his home on Oct. 19, 2022. James enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, cookouts, and weekends with his children, grandchildren and dog, living by the philosophy “If my dog ain’t welcome, I ain’t Welcome.” James was predeceased by his mother, father, wife Elysea and daughter Cha-auna. He is survived by his daughter Chaundra, her children, Chyanna and Christian, his son James and wife Amber their children MaKayla, Brooklyn, Haven and Blake. His other son Randall (Buster) and wife Alicia their children Kailee and Madie. His youngest daughter Sha-Rena husband Randall, her children Taygen and Hailee, and his dachshund “Hotdog”, as well as many friends who were just like family. James wishes were to be cremated and have a private celebration of life with family at a later date. Services are entrusted to Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.

  4. Yes it does when my daddy goes it will be RUFF ON ME MYSELF
    Just as it is hard to handle with the loss of a good caring loving brother/ man a dad a father a true man to his loved ones and friends James Stevens accepted you as a friend you became family unless you burned the bridge and to burn a bridge and he didn’t throw you a laugh line then at the best you become a person not trusted to family ranking but he would still be there to help
    I love you big brother I miss you and I will be with you our other brothers Michael Jerome Johnny ray Ricky Eugene Mitchell and a couple more other brothers we will have a blast when we all see each other again in heaven
