Donna L Price
1953-2022
Donna Price, 69, Of Daingerfield, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on August 23, 2022. She was surrounded by family and love.
Donna was born on January 18, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to parents Ruth and Troy Wilcox.
After graduating from R.L. Turner High School in 1971, she worked tirelessly through her life as an administrator, entrepreneur, and teacher for many notable companies including The Dallas Times-Herald, The El Chico Corporation, and Lennox Industries.
She considered her real life’s work to be the care and raising of her children, and the volunteer work she did as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
On March 6th, 1965, she was Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and ever since has taken to heart the words of First Corinthians 15:58 by “always having plenty to do in the work of the Lord”. Donna’s “plenty to do” involved many aspects of sacred service, including serving as a full-time minister and bible educator; meeting and engaging with those seeking answers in street and metropolitan witnessing work; working in the carpentry, concrete, AV, flooring, foodservice, and countless other building trades as an RBC/LDC volunteer construction worker; working to rebuild homes of those affected by natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina; and being a tireless student of bible truths.
Donna’s greatest joy in life was her family. She had four children born to her, and added an additional three on her marriage on January 8th, 1993 to Michael Price. Donna and Mike were married for nearly 30 years, and enjoyed travel, partnership in theocratic activities, and treasured their home together in Daingerfield.
Donna is survived by her husband, Mike; her brother Troy; her children, Jennifer, Troy, John, Patrick, Shane, Slade and Sloane; her grandchildren, Zach, Antonia, Olivia, Emma, Judy, Tom, Amber, Landon, Maddox, Serenity and Ariana; and her dogs, Blue and Koda.
One of the bible truths that Donna most treasured was the promise that God has a deep desire to bring those who have died back to life. Job 14:15 poetically says “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” She yearned to see the day when her beloved God would bring back her parents, sisters, unborn child, and friends from the grave. We share her yearning, and her sure hope that we’ll see her again.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 1:30pm at the following location:
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses
3698 Rosemeade Pkwy
Dallas, TX 75287

Donna was a light in the darkness. I don’t know that she ever knew a stranger or ever had an enemy. She was so easy to love, and gave it back freely. She loved to talk about her children and her husband, Mike. I know she loved volunteering with the building projects through her church. She would often talk about swinging a hammer or whatever else needed to be done. For some reason I had a hard time picturing that, but I knew she was tougher than the nails she was hammering.
Even though we had different beliefs regarding our faith, there were many similar aspects. She would share her beliefs with me (after I kept asking) which helped me better understand her. There she was…teaching, sharing and loving those around her.
I worked with her for many years, and treasured them all. Then after she retired, her son followed in her footsteps (literally), and we got to continue loving her through her legacy, Patrick. Over the years he would keep us updated on “Mom”, Mike & the crew.
I am honored to have known her, and to have gotten the privilege to enjoy her every day while working at Lennox. I pray that her family is surrounded by love and peace during this difficult time.
