God gave him the ability to relate to people of all ages, from kids to senior adults, and he especially had a love for the ministry of teenagers. He would often attend youth camps as a sponsor even when he didn't have youth from his church in attendance. In his mid 60's he "retired" and proudly became a pipe liner. Leon was an all around "people person" and would often strike up long conversations with strangers. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bro. Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Chris. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bro. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I wasn’t around Leon a lot, but I never saw him without a smile on his face. He had the sweetest spirit. When I was 18, he married my first husband and me at my house on Rigolette. I’ll never forget my precious cousin. May God bless, keep, and comfort all who knew him.

  2. Leon was one of the kindest persons I knew. My most vivid memory was when he and his family lived in Minden. I was very young, but he was very nice to me and always had a laugh for all! Will miss him. God bless his family.

  3. I did not know Bro. Leon, but I DO know his son, Curtis and think well of him and his family. Sorry for their families loss. God be with them through the days, weeks, & years. My thoughts will be with them. God bless ! Peggy Maxey.

  4. Khristin Seymore-Norsworthy says:

I will miss seeing Mr Epnett and his little dog Raz.
Prayers for the family, he was such a sweet man.
I enjoyed talking with him and seeing the pictures of his family.
