Prayers for Jess Fulfer’s family. He was truly one of the kindest men we had the privilege of knowing. Rest peacefully until we meet again in Glory, Col. Fulfer!
Two favorite memories of Jess Fulfer: wearing his Army uniform for a sermonette he brought at our church (First United Methodist) one Sunday morning (excellent speech!) and bringing every lady a box of Valentine candy every February for several years. We loved him with our whole hearts!
I will forever miss him.
I was a member of the 31st CSH in Germany, part of 30th Med Group. After Saudi, I was assigned to Fort Sam for a new school when I learned that Colonel Fulfer was there as well (1992). He was kind enough to meet with me and speak to me about how the 31st had done in Saudi Arabia. He was an outstanding leader and a good man.
I am Larry Kay. I was the Flight Operations Officer of the 1267th Air Ambulance Company in Desert Storm. I have many fond memories of Colonel Fulfer. From scouting forward locations for Medical Units to participating in DustOff missions – Colonel Fulfer was a constant. What an absolutely wonderful leader and mentor. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He made us all better and I will miss him. Tailwinds forever Colonel Fulfer. 🫡:flag-us:
