Funeral services for Larry Glenn, 73, of Cason will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 15, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Cason with Dr. Paul Easter, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Blevins Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM prior to the service. Mr. Glenn was born on November 25, 1948 in Dallas to Rolen and Bettie Glenn.
He passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2022 in a Longview hospital. After high school, Larry proudly served our country with the United States Air Force. For his service, Full Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion in Post 351 of Hughes Springs. He worked for many years as a coupling inspector for US Steel. At the age of 27, Larry trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cason where he served many years as Director of Sunday School. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, especially loved playing "Wahoo" with his grandchildren and its almost a certainty that he let a "John Brown" slip on occasion. A loving husband and father, Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Monday; sister-in-law, Linda Glenn and brother-in-law, Billy Skidmore. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 49 years, Vickie Glenn of Cason; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin Glenn and Tricia of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Ron Hall of Fayetteville, AR; an exchange student whom he loved as a daughter, Marideth Tapales of the Philippines; grandchildren, Ethan Hall, Evan Hall, Emma Hall, Ella Hall, Channing Glenn, Reece Glenn, Easton Hall; brother, Rickey Glenn of Cason; and sister, Teresa Skidmore of Hico.
