Wanda Louise Purdy

Funeral services for Wanda Louise Purdy, 79, of Daingerfield will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery in Jefferson under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends at beginning noon at the church. Mrs. Purdy was born on November 6, 1942 in Vivian, LA to Claiborne "Mack" and Virginia McCarty. She passed away on Saturday morning, March 12, 2022 in a Pittsburg hospital. She worked for the Daingerfield Church of Christ for 26 years where she was also a faithful member. Mrs. Purdy was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 45 years, Ronald Ray Purdy; siblings, Billy Mack McCarty, Kathy McCarty- Merrit, Debbie McCarty, Patty McCarty, Mike McCarty and Ann Green. She is survived by her daughters, Pennye Purdy of Daingerfield, Ginger Smith of Tyler, Shontele Purdy of Tyler; grandsons, Christian Purdy and wife Abigail of Daingerfield, Trevor Gray and wife Erin of Tyler, Collin Gray of Tyler; Great Granddaughter Roxy Gray; siblings, Linda McCarty Waymon, Jan Brown, Carla Mistrot, Nancy Thomas, Ralph Green.
