Graveside services for Charles Wayne Awtry 83 of Daingerfield will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Bro. John Hooton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Wayne was born September 18, 1937 in Morris County, Texas to Isaac Howard and Allie Rhea Northam Awtry. He died on Monday, August 30, 2021.He was a member of the Rocky Branch Church of Christ, married for 63 years, retired from Reilly Industries after 42 years and was a lifelong resident of Daingerfield, Texas.He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Colton Wayne Awtry. Survived by his wife Thelma Awtry of Daingerfield; children Jerry Wayne Awtry of Daingerfield; James Howard Awtry of Daingerfield; Taresa Awtry Long of Whitehouse; son-in-law Lee Long of Whitehouse; grand children Adessa Rhea Awtry of Winnsboro; James Tyler Awtry of Daingerfield; great granddaughter Braelyn Wilfred of Winnsboro; brother Ted Awtry of Daingerfield; sister Ann Awtry of Daingerfield.
