Daingerfield-Visitation for Milton Ray Shumate, 79 of Daingerfield will be held from 7 till 8 P.M. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the family cemetery in Emory, Texas.Milton was born on July 28, 1940 in Emory, Texas. He passed away at his home, surrounded by family on Sunday, September 1, 2019.Milton was a veteran of the U S Air Force. He was a printer and data manager for over 50 years. After moving to Daingerfield in 1977 from Dallas he opened Shumate Office Supply in Daingerfield and founded The Printing Factory, Inc. in Naples, 1985. He loved Daingerfield and was very involved in the Community.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jack and Mary Jewell Shumate of Emory; his brother Milford Jay Shumate of Pittsburg, and sister Myra Kay Shumate of Mesquite.Survivors include his wife and partner of 60 years, Ann E. Shumate of Daingerfield; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Chris Spencer of Hughes Springs, daughter Darla Shumate of Naples; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to Cypress Basin Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.
