Memorial services for Lessie Mae Sutherland, 81 of Hughes Springs will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs and Mark White officiating.Lessie was born on May 10, 1939 in Daingerfield to Howard Dewey and Evelyn Juanita White Puckett. She died on Thursday, December 3, 2020.She was a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. Lessie graduated from Daingerfield High School and was retired from SWEPCO where she was the office manager. She served as past president of the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce. Lessie is survived by her husband of 52 years Denis Sutherland of Hughes Springs; brother Loyd Puckett of Bossier City and several nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  3. Lessie was classmate in the 1957 graduating class of Daingerfield High School. She was such a kind, sweet, and humble person. We are all better for having known her. She was a loyal member of the 1957 Class and attended all of our reunions, of which there were many. Condolences to and prayers for Denis and other family members.
