Memorial service for Richard Allen "Dick" Fair 85 of Daingerfield will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Church on the Rock with Bro. Randy Seybert officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Dick was born June 25, 1936 in Youngstown, Ohio to Samuel and Ethel May Allen Fair. He died on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.He was retired from Lone Star Steel where he worked at the open-hearth furnace and as a steelworker. He was a member of Church on the Rock, a volunteer fireman and member of United Steelworkers Union.Preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances Anne Fair, daughter Gayle Anne McFarland, brother William "Bill" Fair and sister Velma Fair.Survived by his sons Richard Allen Fair and wife Patty of Diana; David Earl Fair and wife Tressie of Lone Star; and an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  17. I am sad to see that another neighbor has gone to heaven. Dick Fair and his family were great friends of my family growing up. My heart goes out to Richard, David, and Gayle’s kids in their loss. I will always have great memories of ‘babysitting the ‘Fair kids’ and when all the parents gathered in a yard to visit and the kids ran around playing…..RIP Dick Fair. You will be missed.
