Services for Dan L. McMurrian 68 of Daingerfield will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church with Bro. Dan Gilliam and Bro. David Lanagan officiating. Burial will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Dan was born on July 30, 1952 in Pittsburg to Durrant "D.L." and Thelma McMurrian. He died on Friday, April 16, 2021.He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Dan graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1970 and received his BS Degree from East Texas State University where he was a member of Sigma Tau Epsilon Fraternity. He taught Industrial Arts in Carthage and was a former Deputy for Morris County Sheriff's Department. Dan was the manager and owner of Mac's Washateria.He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Xander Allex McMurrian.Survived by his wife of 48 years Judy McMurrian of Daingerfield; sons Daniel McMurrian and wife Brenda of Dekalb, Braden McMurrian and wife Dwan of Texarkana; daughter Megan McMurrian of Daingerfield; grandchildren Gabriel McMurrian, Skyler McMurrian, Lily McMurrian, Dillon McMurrian, Raelinn Griffin, Ryker McMurrian, Rylee Griffin, Anthony Wilson, Preston Brewer and Trent Cook; numerous cousins.Family will receive friends from 6 till 8 Tuesday at the funeral home

Sorry to hear of the passing of old friend Dan. “Danny”, John T.,John Early, and myself ate lunch together I think everyday of our four years of high school, alternating between Nix’s barbeque and Star Drug. We could leave campus but only had 30 minutes so it was a daily race. My condolences to his family but hope they find comfort in their own good memories. Bryant
