Daingerfield-Services for Sarah Floyd Jones, 79 of Daingerfield will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Veal Switch Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Veal Switch Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Sarah was born on June 28, 1939 in Marietta, Texas to Hugh and Geneva "Tickie" Floyd. She died on Friday March 15, 2019, her and Ray's 61st wedding anniversary.Sarah was a member of Veal Switch Baptist Church and was retired from Texas Department of Public Service where she worked as the Drivers License Examiner. She also was an election judge for many years. Sarah enjoyed playing cards with "The Old Girls".Preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years Ray Jones, grandson Adam Ferris, brothers David and Don Floyd.Survived by daughters and son-in-law Stephany Jones Ferris and husband Kevin of Daingerfield; Sandy Jones Shaffer of Daingerfield; sister Suzann Floyd Young and husband Mark of Daingerfield; sisters-in-law Sarah Jo Floyd of Waukee, Iowa and Sylvia Floyd of Daingerfield; 4 grandchildren Blake Ferris, Zac Ferris and wife Adi , Garrett Long and wife Kayla and Derek Long and fiancé Serena Bryant; 4 great grandchildren Eli, Axel, Alyssa and Ava; several nieces and nephews.In Lieu of flowers make donations to Adam Ferris Memorial Scholarship FoundationNTCC Foundation, % Lori Hunter, lhunter@ntcc.edu.There will be no visitation.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  17. I was privileged to be a member of the 1957 DHS graduating class along with Sarah who was a sweet and dear friend. I send my love and sympathy to her family. She is in Heaven with Ray rejoicing around the Throne. We will see her again.
