Prissy & all your family we are lifting you up in prayer during this difficult time. Your Dad was always so kind to us & fun to be around & I know you are missing him. He was sooo blessed to have you as his daughter! We love you sweet friend.
Leslie, and family you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Anita, Prissy Leslie and family,I am so sorry to hear about Curtis. I was just saying how I wished I had gone to see him on my last visit to Lone Star. I will never forget the funny stuff he would say n pull and the good friendship he had with my Dad and family. Never forget the gift of he and Paul showing up at my house in Lone Star with my dads long lost deer rifle my dad had sold some 40 years before.. And last but not least, I Always appreciated him forgiving me and the boys for sinking his boat some 40 plus years ago.. Curtis could always take a joke, and deliver one too.. .
Please add Cathey as an addressee of my note.. Also my street in Lone Star is named after Cathey… how could I forget to add her..
My dear Prissy, Cathy and families. I am so sorry for the loss of your dad and granddad. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I know you are going to miss him, and I feel your pain. In the coming days just remember he will always be in your hearts. RIP Curtis, you will always be remembered as a fun-loving crazy guy.
He loved to dabble in real estate and the more complex the transaction was, the more fun it was for him. Had as many family and friends as any man could hope for. A life well lived.
MOM WOULD BE FURIOUS WITH ME IF I DID NOT SOMEHOW ACKNOWLEDGE YOU, CURTIS. OUR FAMILY WAS YOUR FAMILY IN CHURCH AND I YOUR BABYSITTER FOR YOUR GIRLS. YOU WILL BE MISSED. GEORGE, WHO LOVES HIS NICKNAME NOW, WAS NOT SO FOND OF IT YEARS AGO AT THE PLANT WHEN YOU WOULD SAY, “HEY BOY”, DID YOU MEASURE THIS OR THAT. HE WAS VERY FOND OF YOU AND REMEMBERS THE QUIRKY SMILE YOU’D GIVE HIM WHEN HE WAS NEW AT THE PLANT AND HE INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO YOU – NOT AS “HEY BOY” BUT HIS NAME….BUT IT DIDN’T MAKE YOU STOP…. IT IS A SWEET MEMORY HE HAS NOW. WE SHALL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. I KNOW THE ANGELS WILL HAVE A TIME KEEPING YOU OUT OF TROUBLE! WE’LL SEE YOU SOON……GEORGE AND ANN REED
Sorry to hear of this. My sympathies to the family.
Our sympathies to all your family. I’ll always remember Mr. Curtis with fondness and treasure all the laughs he caused us to share at the nursing home.
