Dan Gilliam officiating.Erica was born on June 10, 1966 in Boulder, Co. to George Nicholas and Carrol Elizabeth Pijoan. She died on Friday, September 25, 2020.She was preceded in death by her mother Carrol.Erica was the Pastor of Bradfield Chapel and Jenkins United Methodist Churches. She served as the former Pastor of Soule's Chapel Methodist Church.Survived by her husband Kevin Koolstra of Hughes Springs; son Alexander Lyons of Greelee, Co.; daughter Caroline Lyons of Golden, Co.; father Nick Pijoan of Denver, Co.; brother Randy Pijoan of Portland, Or.; Several nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com.

Sorry I didn’t get to know Erica as well as I would have liked to. Was looking forward to visiting with her at church activities. I did know her well enough to become fond of her and she was an excellent pastor. You will be missed , Erica but you are in a wonderful place now. Rest in peace now Sweet Lady.

I had the pleasure of working with Erica when she lived in Sterling. She quickly became a great friend and had a positive and lasting influence on my life. The world will be less beautiful with her kind spirit gone. Wishing peace, healing, and God’s tender care to her kids and family.

Erica showed compassion, wisdom, & prayers to me for new Assignment of Ministering at two U.M.C. in East TX District. Such a beautiful Christian, who demonstrated the love of Jesus Christ! Erica was one of my Course of Study students. She was a wonderful presence to the class. She was curious, ready to learn, asked good questions and a delight to get to know. We are all stunned by her death and pray God’s good grace on all the family.

On Friday morning I shared with my husband that Erica was one of two people that I know who beams only kindness and love into this world. Who when you meet, you feel as if she is wrapping her arms around you with all her warmth. Yesterday, I learned that you passed that same night. My heart aches for all the people around the world who are grieving your loss. I know they feel as I do, that a person with your gifts should not be taken this soon; the world needs your healing. With all my heart and admiration, I am thankful to have known and learned from you. Rest in peace my sweet, wonderful Erica.
