Margaret Lou Cheatham, 91 of Daingerfield was born June 1, 1929 in Daingerfield to Connor Seymour and Margaret Lou Williams Turner. She died on Monday, July 13, 2020 in Austin. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired teacher. She was also a member of PEO, Retired Teachers Association, Sigma Kappa Sorority and (2) bridge clubs. Lou graduated from Texas Woman's University and SMU with a BA.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Roger Cheatham, brothers Jerrold Turner and Seymour Turner.Survived by her son David Cheatham and wife Bernadette of McAllen; daughter Debbie McMordie and husband Claud of Austin; grandchildren Andrew, Felicia and David Cheatham all of McAllen, Lauren Raveney and husband Thomas of Granger, Allison McMordie of London; great granddaughter Mallory Raveney of Grainger; several nieces and nephews.There will be a time for public viewing from 2 till 4 Monday afternoon at the funeral home.Due to the pandemic, the family is going to have a private service.The family would like to thank everyone for the calls and prayers for their mom.
