Daingerfield-Funeral services for Joe Wayne Pollan, 73 of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at South Union Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Sibley officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery-Jenkins Community. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Joe was born in Pittsburg, TX on August 26, 1945 to Joe and Belle Pollan. He died on May 5, 2019. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and was on the Jenkins Fire Department. He was employed with Lone Star Steel for 20 years where he worked as a NDT inspector. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife Anita Kay Pollan of Daingerfield; sons Jay Pollan of Hope AR, Justin Pollan and wife Jodie of Daingerfield, Tommy Byrd and wife Christine of Colorado City, CO; brother Gary Pollan and wife Judy of Daingerfield; sister Judy Caldwell and husband Roger of Frisco, TX; grandsons Tyler Mostella of Norfolk, VA, Karter Pollan of Daingerfield, Rowan and Lincoln Byrd of Colorado City, CO; granddaughters Kadee Mostella of Daingerfield, Tinley, Teagan and Gemma Byrd of Colorado City, CO; several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  7. Joe Wayne and I worked together for Brown & Root in the late 60’s. He was my friend and I always thought highly of Joe Wayne. We did some shut down’s for Brown & Root and always thought we deserved a good time after the shut down was over. I will always know that Joe Wayne was a good man, always ! My prayers are with the family ! My heart is broken.
