Daingerfield-Graveside services for Walter Price "Dub" Headrick, 95 of Lone Star will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Tony Pierce officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Dub was born on September 6, 1923 in Dallas to Walter Price and Ardell Headrick. He died on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Perry Paul Headrick and grandson Price Bockmon.Dub was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church, veteran of the U S Army serving during WWII and a retired principal of Lone Star Elementary School.Survived by his wife Lois Headrick of Lone Star; children Madalyn and Homer May of Coatesville, Pa., Bubba and Bethany Headrick of Longview, Cindy and Danny Bockmon of Daingerfield and Tracey and Nick Salter of Sulphur, La.; 8 grandchildren, Geoffrey and Trisha May, Heather May and Brian Verna, Toby and Shawn Utermohlen, Leslie Headrick, Landon and Tiffany Headrick, Allison and James Duke, April Bardwell and Mark Nigro, Clair Bardwell; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 6 till 8 P.M. Some of my earliest memories of “Dub” are from my childhood; starting with the summer baseball clinics that he used to coach. Every memory is a positive one.
