Chester Don CoxServices for Chester Don Cox, 85 of Mt. Pleasant will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will be in the East New Hope Cemetery. Chester was born on May 2, 1933, in Fulton, Ark. to Sam B. and Mary V. Cox. He died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Conroe.He was a member of East New Hope Baptist Church. Chester was retired from the US Air Force as an S Sgt. He served this country from 1952 to 1972. He held many jobs and was always helping others. He was a generous man. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosanne M. Cox, son, Robert Forrest, sister Marguerite and brother Sam, grandson Christopher Mark Forrest and great-grandson Jacob Alan Hall. Survived by his daughter Margaret Forrest Rankin of Spring; grandchildren Christine Shaw Hall and husband Shane of Conroe, Eric Michael Forrest and wife Callie of Longview, Sarah Suzanne Shaw of Spring, Ashley Forrest of Oklahoma City, Leslie Shaw Boyd and husband Jeremy of College Station, Alexandria Michelle Smith of College Station; great-grandchildren Michelle Christine Hall, Liliana Suzanne Shaw, Evan James Hall, Claire Madelyn Boyd, Kaytlin Page Forrest, Haley Brewster, his sister Jewell and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
