Geneva Joyce CurreyDaingerfield- Funeral services for Geneva Joyce Currey, 77 of Daingerfield will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Neely officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Joyce was born July 7, 1937 in Jenkins to Bernice Eugene and Susan Elizabeth Truitt Ellison and died on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant.She was a member of Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church where was a Sunday School teacher, pianist and organist. She was the house supervisor for Titus Regional Medical Center and a top 100 nurse in the State of Texas.Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Deborah Kay Currey, sisters Lonita Davis, Lanell Kirkpatrick, Martha Ann Ellison; brothers J. D. and J. C. Ellison, and James R. Ellison.Survived by her husband Preston L. Currey of Daingerfield; sons and daughters-in-law Traylor Palmore and Brandie Currey of Naples, Stephen Truitt and Laura Currey of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Renee' Theda Smith of Texarkana; sister Theda Cook of Daingerfield; brothers Bernie Ray "Buck" Ellison of Sugar Land and George Eugene "Pete" Ellison of Longview; 8 grandchildren Adam Kyle Currey, Jack Sims, Ashton Drake Currey, Cameron Humphrey Currey, Chandler Ellison Currey, Caroline Hope Currey, Justin Wayne Smith and Taylor Nicole Smith ; great granddaughter Eva Smith.Family will receive friends from 6 till 8 Monday at the funeral home
