James Mack Bonds passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Longview, Texas at the age of 82. Mack was born July 19, 1936 in Paris, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Edna Forrest Bonds and wife of 48 years Jean Nix Bonds. He is survived by his wife Martha Northam Bonds and his three daughters, Kim Scott and husband Jeff of Houston, Dawn Shell and husband Larry of Richardson, Jena Wynn and husband Taylor of Houston; four grandchildren, Amber Jessup and husband Robby, Kyle and Dylan Scott, and Madelyn Wynn; four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Garrett, Grace and Isabel Jessup; brother, Dan Bonds and wife Bonnie of Frisco. A visitation will be held at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield on Wednesday, December 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Daingerfield Church of Christ, where he was a faithful and active member for many years, on Thursday, December 6th at 10:00 am. Burial at Spring Hill Cemetery in Naples under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home will follow the service. Mack was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a deeply devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. It is very hard to lose friends that you have known for 65 years but Mack was such a quiet and kind person. When we reach the age of 82, we are ready to go on to the place of no worry or pain. Grew up with Jean and loved to hear her laugh. You girls were blessed with special parents.
