Gloria Jean JohnstonDaingerfield- Services for Gloria Jean Johnston, 86 of Daingerfield will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Jean was born on April 10, 1931 in Van, Texas to Thomas and Ethel Burton Adcox. She died on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.She was a member of Daingerfield Church of Christ and retired from LTV.Jean was preceded in death by her husband Carrol Johnston 3 sisters and a brother.Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Michelle Johnston of Allenspark, Co., Phil and Linda Johnston of Daingerfield; daughter Sheri Kramer of Daingerfield; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Freudenthal of Arizona, Barbara and Jack Lewis of Daingerfield; sister-in-law Pat Adcox of Tyler; grandchildren Jeremy Johnston, Sadie Ray, Krystol O'Rourke, Sarah Helton, Weston Kramer and Clayton Kramer; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

  3. There were seven children in our family. There was a special bond between myself, Barbara, Noasha and Jean. She was the leader of our band! From little up she always was the one who decided what we would play, always in the wonderful woods around our home. Be it church services where she told each of us the role we were to play, imitating the ladies of our church, who got to play the piano etc. or, perhaps we roasted potatoes in the coals of the fire we built. Memories to last me a life time. I will not be attending the service, but my heart will be there with all of you. God Bless.
