Lela Faye PayneDaingerfield- Services for Lela Faye Payne, 82 of Lone Star will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Monds officiating. Burial will be in the Weaver Cemetery.Faye was born on June 21, 1935 in Hopkins County to Hick V. and Marguerite Armstrong Wall and died on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Daingerfield. She was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church, Wildflower Promenades and a homemaker.Faye was preceded in death by her parents and husband Coy Payne.Survived by daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Mike Byrd of Daingerfield; sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Pawnee Payne of Texarkana, Jerry and Melissa Payne of Hawkins and James and Kelly Payne of Daingerfield, grandchildren Mikey and wife Kristi Byrd, Teri Farmer, Jonathan and wife Shannon Payne, Kory and wife Brittney Payne, Dakota and wife Kaliegh Payne, Kandi and husband Keith Greenlee, Jocelyn Holt,Justin Payne and Aaron Payne. 18 great grandchildren.Family will receive friends from 1 till time of service on Sunday

After Mother could no longer walk well, Faye would leave Mother’s newspaper on her front porch every morning during her daily walk. Such simple gestures that meant so much.
