James Richard WalkerDaingerfield- Funeral services for James Richard Walker, 76 of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Cason with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Burial will be in the Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Richard was born January 23, 1938 in Beaumont, Texas and died on Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Daingerfield. He was a Baptist, member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge and a veteran of the U S Navy. Richard was a retired welder at Lone Star Steel.He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Walker, brothers Michael Rex and Eddie Doyle Walker, granddaughter, Meagan Whelchel and son-in-law, Warren Silvertooth.Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richie and Sandy Walker, Jr. of Daingerfield; daughters and son-in-law, Chris Silvertooth of Lone Star, Debbie and Bill Baxter of Daingerfield; bothers, Robert D. Walker of Jefferson and Bill Walker of Brownsboro; grandchildren, Aaron Baxter, Sean Baxter, James Richard Walker, III, James Glenn Whelchel, Jr., Amanda Moore, Robert Bradley Black; 19 great grandchildren.Family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
