Gayle McFarlandDaingerfield- Funeral services for Gayle McFarland, 54 of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Curtis Eppnett officiating.Gayle was born on September 17, 1959 in Daingerfield and died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Daingerfield. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a RN for Good Shepherd Medical Center.She was preceded in death by her mother Anne Fair.Survived by her husband Kevin McFarland of Daingerfield; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard and Trisha Wilson of Hughes Springs, Derek Wilson of Hughes Springs and Glenn McFarland of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Chris Robertson of Daingerfield; father Richard "Dick" Fair of Daingerfield, brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Patty Fair of Diana and David and Tressie Fair of Daingerfield.6 grandchildrenFamily will receive friends from 6 till 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

  15. So sorry to hear of Gayle’s passing. She was a wonderful student when she played in my band. I don’t member ever seeing her without that beautiful smile on her face. The last time I saw her was when she invited me to speak at the Band banquet several years ago. I will always cherish the time I had to visit with her My prayers are with her family.

  20. I knew Gayle from her job as Diabetes Coordinator at GSMC. She did some teachings with me observing her and a patient learning to operate an insulin pump. She was wonderful at her job, and an excellent teacher. She was my role model as a diabetes educator, and had a very sweet spirit.
